Gay Quarter Liverpool Nightlife
Stanley Street is the centre of the Liverpool gay quarter and is sometimes referred to as the gay village or pride quarter. This area is well known around Liverpool as the main nightlife area for gay clubbers, transgender, lesbians and, generally, the full LGBT+ family.
It’s not long before you're greeted by local drag queens promoting bars and club nights across the gay quarter. Expect a mix of gay-friendly pubs, bars and clubs with young and old partygoers playing disco, pop, and house music.
Stanley Street
Popular bars on Stanley Street include Superstar Boudoir, packed most weekends with drag hosts and buzzing dance tracks. And just across the road is newly refurbished Navy Bar, and The Lisbon, a famous Liverpool gay pub with a cheerful crowd, quizzes and singsongs.
Victoria Street
Victoria Street sits between the busy Mathew Street and Stanley Street nightlife areas with a number of popular gay venues and some trendy night spots in Liverpool. Places to look out for include: Heaven (after-hours club) and OMG late-night bar.
Eberle Street
The crown jewel of gay clubs in Liverpool is Gbar. This after hours and late-night venue will keep you entertained until 8am in the morning playing dirty house and electro. Gbar stands alone nowadays as its the only club left on Eberle Street (time of writing), excluding the new strip club, Pussycats, that is.
In a nutshell
If you’re a part of the LGBT+ family, Liverpool has many places to go for a great night out and many other venues we don't list. Alternatively, if you just like mixing with the friendly crowds, everybody is welcomed in the gay bars and clubs.
