Bring Photo ID

Door staff are strict. When visiting Liverpool, don't let the doorman ruin your night and bring some photo ID with you. It could save your night.

Seeing this more and more in Liverpool, bouncers not letting you into the club because you're on your own. If you visit Liverpool as a solo traveller (loner), before entering the venue, try walking in with a group, the person next to you, or just mention your friends are already inside.

Friday vs. Saturday

Saturday nights are what people live for in Liverpool. It's the busiest and best night to visit if you want to experience the Liverpool nightlife and clubs. And what about Friday night? Friday is ok, it's just not as busy.

Dress Code

Some nightclubs will let you in wearing a t-shirt and trainers (seems like everywhere nowadays), but the trendy clubs in Liverpool expect a smart dress code. Set the standard: dress sharp, if you want to increase your chances of gaining entry.

Where To Go Out

Liverpool has many nightlife areas within the city centre, including: Concert Square, Seel Street, Mathew Street, Gay Quarter and Albert Dock to name a few. If its your first time in Liverpool, the safe bet is just head to Concert Square area.

Cash vs. Card

Plenty of smaller Liverpool bars are cash-only or set a minimum card spend. Carry some cash for entry fees and rounds. Cash is always king, especially on the door.

Late-night Clubs

Don't get there too early, around 1am is an OK time to arrive when it starts getting busy as most after-hours clubs stay open until 6am in Liverpool, and even 8am in some cases.
