REGGAE GOT SOUL ft. DADDY G (Massive Attack)

We're very happy to announce that trip hop royalty, Daddy G, will be heading over to Liverpool on 16 November to perform a very special DJ set at District.

As a founding member of pioneering music group, Massive Attack, Daddy G has been pivotal in the development of the "Bristol Sound" alongside the likes of Tricky and Portishead, and continues to innovate and inspire today.

Joining Daddy G on the night will be Solo Banton - one of the UK's most popular & prolific MCs. There will also be a DJ set from Count Skylarkin - the lauded DJ, promoter, garden shed enthusiast and all-round dapper dan.

DADDY G //

Daddy G is one of the core members and main voices of the legendary Massive Attack. A founder of the Wild Bunch Sound System, out of which Massive Attack would emerge and define the Bristol Sound that fused dub, reggae, funk, disco and hip hop alongside other protagonists like Smith & Mighty, Tricky and Portishead.

From compiling TDK D90s in the early 90s to touring with The Wailers, remixing for Trojan Records and performing in front of thousands at festivals all around the world, Count Skylarkin has been making people move for the past 30 years specialising in new and vintage reggae, rocksteady, Jamaican ska, hot swing, jump blues, dancehall and hip hop.
