Chinese New Year at Constellations - Year Of The Rooster

This year in Liverpool the Chinese New Year celebrations are going to be spectacular, with a three-day celebration from the 27th - 29th January, set across the city centre and China Town.

We're getting involved at Constellations with free workshops from Movema and Happy Go Cooking.

Join us on the Sunday in our indoor event space and award winning garden for a day of children's activities including free cookery workshops hosted by Happy Go Cooking, a themed Chinese menu and our regular brunch menu (served until 3pm) and a specially curated Chinese inspired soundtrack provided by Rebel Soul DJs.

Then between 4pm and 5pm learn more about Chinese New Year whilst having fun in a celebratory dance workshop with props, great upbeat music. Lead by world dance experts from Movema the class is suitable for all ages and abilities.

Movema are an award winning dance company dedicated to bringing the transformative power of world dance to those most in need.

Whether you're coming to hang out or just popping in to escape the cold then you won't be too far away from the action as we're literally just around the corner from China Town.

The China Town events this year include a special Chinese New Year lumiere event with projections telling the ancient myth of Jingwei and the Ocean. As well as street performances, family workshops, art installations, parades and the popular Chinese market.
