One of the finest new voices to emerge in 2016, rising country star Margo Price makes her debut Liverpool performance in late January at the intimate Leaf Café.

Described by The Guardian as ‘a charming, charismatic force of nature’, Margo’s outstanding debut LP ‘Midwest Farmer’s Daughter’ was released to universally positive reviews in March and is widely considered to be of the year’s definitive albums.

Inspired by country legends Emmylou Harris and Dolly Parton and frequently compared to Loretta Lynn, the disc was a fixture on Albums of the Year lists the world over, winning particular acclaim for Price’s vivid, honest lyrics.

The first country act signed to fan and supporter Jack White’s label Third Man Records the singer is on a rapid ascent, turning in an acclaimed performance on Later… with Jools Holland in May and making her national TV debut on Saturday Night Live in the US.

With sold out shows in London earlier this year, Price is surely destined for larger venues on her next UK tour and forthcoming set at Leaf will almost certainly be a ‘Where you there?’ moment in years to come.
