Event Details
Ostara: the matriarchal triple goddess signifying transitions of time and season.
After touring their Trans-Pennine Hypnotics around the UK and Europe Bonnacons of Doom return to Liverpool to play their first hometown headline show in over two years for the first event of a series of ritualistic performances marking the turning of the circle of the year. Ostara is a celebration of the spring equinox, a summoning of light from darkness in the bleakest of times, a call for collective joy, transcendence and resistance. Joining the communion are the incredible Pale Rider.
Bonnacons of Doom:
Black caped & mirror-masked Bonnacons of Doom incorporate death trombone drones into their massed matras and psychic wailings. (Mojo)
Bonnacons of Doom are hard to beat. If GOAT swapped their feral acid-afrobeat for lurid drone and crushing motorik drum-fire, and traded tribal feathers for hooded capes and reflective masks, you might be part way there. (Clash)
Imagine Master Musicians of Bukkake playing a house party on The Wicker Man island. (Echoes and Dust)
Pale Rider:
'A true storm in heaven - genuinely superb' (Getintothis)
'A thrillingly tripped out, unnervingly schizophrenic sonic apocalypse of epic intent' (Louder Than War)
