The main train station is Liverpool Lime Street - Right in the centre of Liverpool getting you from London to Liverpool in just over 2 hours. Around £70 off peak return with Virgin trains or book in advance and take advantage of Virgins cheaper advanced tickets.

Liverpool's Concert Square and Mathew Street drinking areas are a 5-7 minute walk away from Lime Street station. If its raining it will cost you £5 in a taxi and that includes a tip, black cabs are always parked just outside the station.

by air

Regular flights can get you into Liverpool's John Lennon's Airport, reaching Liverpool's city centre with a short 15min taxi ride... Approximately 8 miles away. Alternatively, Manchester Airport is about a 40min drive away to the city of Liverpool.

by road

You can reach Liverpool from the M6 via the M62, M58 and M56 motorways. It would be a good idea to have a sat nav in your car. About an hour from Blackpool and roughly 4-5 hours from London depending on traffic.

by coach

National Express has a station right the city centre of Liverpool operating routes from all the major cites from around the UK. If your traveling from the capital, head to London Victoria then walk down Buckingham Palace Road to the National Express coach terminal. Between 4-6 hours depending on your route and if you have fast track journey.
