M:OpenAir Presents VBX & One Records

Welcome one and all to this year’s M:OpenAir Series launch party at our beautiful Summer home, Constellations. Now celebrating its 4th Birthday the venue has been like a brother growing up alongside us, getting better looking and more accomplished with age! Congratulations to Becky, Nick and all the team. For our fourth year running Summertime parties here, you can expect excellent new sound systems and top-drawer production for a trio of unmissable dates.

There is a change to format, with a sequence of big headline artists playing across both day and nighttime sections alongside some wonderfully talented support – but with refining the experience in mind we’ll be venturing towards new locations after dark, so we hope you’ll like what’s in store.

First off, we’re excited to be hosting two super-crews excelling on all fronts; with VBX controlling things in the open air and our One Records friends taking over a club to close.

• VBX @ Constellations
Amsterdam’s leading party-starters VBX have been running for the last five years. Whilst they’ve notably hosted some of the world’s best DJs at home and abroad, their own roster of artists are equally pushing on to great heights in both the booth and the studio. Ferro and Reiss will perform as Spokenn – with a grooving sound and effortless style gaining widespread recognition, they’ll be sure to keep the dancefloor moving no doubt! We’re also excited to see Makcim join the party too. A quality DJ with experience, impeccable record selection and real personality. He’s still playing with Die Hollander friends at CDV and making regular stand-out performances back in AMS.

• One Records @ Invisible Wind Factory
Surely one of the greatest and most prolific labels in recent UK electronic music history with an ever-growing backlog of releases, the imprint continues to attract a wealth of worldwide talent and ever-evolving soundscapes. All credit to label bosses Adam Shelton and Subb-an for leading the charge. They’re excellent DJs and producers in their own right and are being rewarded with an exciting touring schedule of top parties, clubs and festival dates again this year. Happy to welcome our first visitors from B/ham as long-time admirers of their music. Also joining the date is MODU:LAR resident and One Records artist Jack Wickham – no introduction needed, he’ll be warming up for the boys as you arrive to Wind Factory. On arrival to the venue you’ll be welcomed into the ‘Substation’ – with an intimate industrial feel and quadrophonic soundsystem

Brennan will be joined by Ramsay, fresh of the back of their stomping Easter Sunday b2b. Uzu boys will be setting the tone with some amazing new original music; and for their first major party, Aitman and Zaremba of Melodic Distraction will be opening up the garden with a wide-ranging warmup – so come down early doors!
