The Haggis Horns

After a decade of performing at some of the hottest venues on the globe, and with every name who has an agenda for all things jazzy, The Haggis Horn’s addictive sound and live force has rumbled every joint imaginable.
Long celebrated as the hottest funk band around, with a sustained tenure of fiery singles and a distinctive northern funk sound, the harmonious seven-piece have conquered Europe preserving a legendary presence, with slots on Kendal Calling, Edinburgh Fringe, Cambridge Jazz Festival, 02 Academy, Leeds, Y Not Festival, etc.
In addition, the globetrotting act has recorded and supported the likes of Jamiroquai, John Legend & The Roots, Amy Winehouse, Corinne Bailey Rae, Take That, Mark Ronson and Elbow across the world, and received airtime from BBC Radio 2, Radio 6, Reform Radio and Craig Charles Funk & Soul. Combining heavy break-beat, funk, soul, hip-hop and Afro-beat with the virtuosity of trained jazz musicians The Haggis Horns, and the hype for one helluva anticipated drop has only just begun.

Boasting an enormous ten-piece line up consisting of a low down dirty brass section, thunderous rhythm section and a trio of fantastic standalone singers. The Soul Rays bring an energetic performance every time they take to the stage.

Since their first gig at the back end of 2014 The Soul Rays have shared a stage with The Mouse Outfit, Akala, The Dub Pistols, Riot Jazz, and an array of other amazing touring acts. The seasoned performers for Fiesta Bombarda, Threshold Festival and Speakeasy Liverpool, hold their own against the professionals of the industry and with an arsenal of excellent tunes at their disposal, there’s simply no stopping their inevitable rise.
