Join us in the New Year for a night of dancing, jumping and dreaming with the enigmatic and genre jumping talents of Broken Brass Ensemble, featuring support slots with outstanding talents that is Broken 3 Ways and Hardcore Hornography

The event will follow the incredible Fiesta Bombarda at The Cathedral, running way into the night, keeping the party going with brass heavy grooves and tunes from Stutter & Twitch and Dr Hyde spinning til 4am.

Broken Brass Ensemble

Combining the powers of funk, jazz, hip-hop and soul, Broken Brass Ensemble act as urban brass ambassadors, pioneering on their euphoric groove.

With origins from the Netherlands, Broken Brass Ensemble have been firing up a storm all over Europe with an energizing and eclectic aesthetic, pairing punchy basses with hard-hitting brass. The enigmatic eight-piece have conquered most of Europe maintaining an omnipresence as the summer circuit's New Orleans Brass band; a feat that has translated to their Dutch fan base with overwhelming success. In addition, the globetrotting act has sold out UK venues in Manchester, London, Exeter and Norwich on merit alone, with airtime from Reform Radio, Craig Charles Funk and Soul and Radio Decibel. Boasting more than 300 shows under their belt, and no signs of stopping, Broken Brass Ensemble has most definitely become a live force to be reckoned with.

Broken 3 Ways

This six-piece ska-punk outfit from the North West, are living proof that raw talent, ambition and honesty can still prevail in an ailing music industry. Their signature sound encaptures the raw essence of ska-punk with hard hitting dual vocals, skanking guitars and addictive brass. Taking influence from bands such as Streetlight Manifesto, Sublime, Rancid, Reel Big Fish and Capdown, the only way this band are going is forward.

Hardcore Hornography

Self proclaimed as 'the craft beer of funk', the eight piece Liverpudlian 'Hornographers' possess some of the heaviest New Orleans Jazz sounds around. Giving affirmation to the 'Northern Powerhouse' ideology, these loveable hooligans are tearing up the streets with their loud and proud originals and unfathomable cover renditions, totally reinventing everyone's outlooks on how funky a song can get!

Dr Hyde

Closing the exponential night of jazz, soul and funk is Fiesta's own resident DJ - Dr Hyde. Blending an array of old and new classics with the scratching abilities of a seasoned pro, you'll wonder how you managed to have fun before seeing this maestro in action.
