A fantastic way to usher in the New Year, following a rapturously received sold out show at the Leaf Café in March, C Duncan returns to Liverpool in late January 2017.
Playing bigger rooms each time he visits the city, the Glasgow born multi-instrumentalist is set to play the O2 Academy, a venue he played room as a support act only 18 months ago.
Nominated for the Mercury Prize for his 2015 debut set Architect, Duncan is touring in support of highly praised second album Midnight Sun issued in October 2016. One of the most critically acclaimed albums of the year, boasting a more expansive, experimental sound than his debut, Uncut’s 9/10 review stated the disc showcases ‘the breadth of Duncan's sparkling ability… conveying gorgeous otherworldiness that effortlessly channels peak Cocteau Twins and Radiohead’.
Joined by a new four-piece live band who bring the singer’s home recorded songs to life brilliantly on stage, Duncan’s live reputation is as acclaimed as his recorded output, The Guardian describing his London show as ‘pastoral dream-pop dizzyingly close to perfection’.
