The Parr Street Mods

After the great success of our first night. The Parr Street Mods is back with another great line-up of bands set to play ! More special guests and surprises are to be announced shortly too. Our line-up is as follows:

The Universal
As sharp musically as they are in attire, Liverpool quartet The Universal apply timeless values of upbeat melodic British songwriting to a sharp-dressed model.

The band are based around singer, guitarist and songwriter Terry Shaughnessy, who brings a deep-seated love of classic vintage guitar music. Growing up in Liverpool, the ambience of the Beatles was a happily accepted ever-present, but with two Uncles playing in bands, another two Uncles being avid record collectors and a Mother an active member of the Small Faces fan club, Shaughnessy's musical education came steeped in classic values of songs with creativity, individuality and fire in the belly.

With their passionate, driving musical vision, an acute fashion-sense and Shaughnessy's motto of 'musician minus ego plus fire', The Universal are known for their hard work and energetic live shows.

The In By Ones

The solid Liverpool four piece are made up of former members of The La's, The Crescent and cult Liverpool band, Rhombus Of Doom.

The band features Barry Coleman on guitar, Jay Ryder on lead guitar, Jason Gardner behind the drum kit, Mark Degnan on the bass guitar and Karl Rowlands on vocals and guitar.

The band formed in 2009, and have clocked up a number of performances at the prestigious Glastonbury and Leeds festivals on the Jack Daniels stage, as well as local performances The Cavern Club, the 02 Academy Liverpool, where they supported fellow Liverpool band The Real People, as well as a performance at The Zanzibar Club and performances up and down the country.

The band also performed at Ocean Colour Scene's Steve Cradock's aftershow party.

Recently, the band performed at the fundraiser for the Hillsborough Justice Campaign and AFC Liverpool alongside local cult band Space and the recently reformed Troubadours, and all for a good cause, at their very own haunt, the recently re-opened local venue, The Lomax. Also in attendance on the night was Liverpool's boxing star David Price.

In August 2012, the band played a highly praised and well received set on the main stage at the Liverpool Mathew Street festival. Later that year, the band were invited to perform on the Christmas Bandstand in Williamson Square, Liverpool, and were invited back to play in the summer of 2013, along with a number of headline slots around Liverpool.

The band are currently in the middle of recording their debut album. The band will also release a high profile single in the upcoming months...watch this space!
