LDF (Liverpool Disco Festival) & Hustle team up to introduce the fantastic Constellations venue ahead of Octobers massive event with Odyssey (Live), Dimitri From Paris, Spen & Karizma, Juan Atkins, John Morales, Kon and many more great artists.

For this party we take over the gorgeous Constellations Garden by day and evening bringing a Disco, Boogie, Funk and Soul soundtrack with special guest Al Kent alongside LDF/Hustle djs and friends with free entry for all. As night falls we then retreat to Constellations main club room with very special guest, the living legend from Chicago Gene Hunt, fresh from gigs at Dimensions Festival Croatia, Concrete in Paris and Notting Hill Carnival as we move to a more House music led affair with sprinkles of Disco.

Gene Hunt is truly one of Chicago’s Pioneers in the Disco & House music industry since the early 80’s. He has been one of the top US jocks moving and educating crowds and music lovers for the past 30 years of his career playing at the hottest venues such as The Warehouse, The Music Box, The Shrine, Smart Bar and many more. This legend has worked and played alongside some of the the most revered names in the game such as Ron Hardy, Farley Jack Master Funk, Frankie Knuckles, Robert Owens, Mr. Fingers (Larry Heard), Terry Hunter and Kenny Dope of M.A.W. In The Studio Gene has released on seminal Chicago label Traxx and more recently Rush Hour Records. Gene is currently working on soulful vocal house music with a few set of new heavy hitters such as Glenn Underground and Roy Davis Jr. Expect to get a proper schooling as one of the dopest djs ever to do it makes his Liverpool club debut.

Despite his reputation as a true ‘digger’ and his background in rare soul and disco, Al is no musical snob when it comes to DJing. He knows how to move a dance-floor with music that ranges from the most obscure disco to bona-fide classics. It's his edits that elevate him beyond the normal conception of a "disco DJ" though. If you thought disco was music for the back room, think again. Al's sound is big and bad, perfectly mixed in a way Ron Hardy would be proud of. His style has earned him serious praise from many of his peers like Sadar Bahar, Mike Huckaby, Theo Parrish, Rahaan, Red Rack'em, Joey Negro (who once famously called him Scotland's answer to Walter Gibbons), Dimitri From Paris and Horse Meat Disco. Al Kent has been a favourite in the City of the last number of years so expect smiles all round as he takes to the controls.
